Patrick T. Plewman

SVP, Diagnostic Services at Quest Diagnostics

Patrick T. Plewman is the Senior Vice President of Diagnostic Services at Quest Diagnostics. Patrick has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including in sales and marketing, strategic planning, and business development.

Plewman began their career at SmithKline Beecham in 1989, where they held various roles including sales and marketing, strategic planning, and business development. In 1996, they were promoted to Director of Business Development for Molecular Diagnostics. Patrick left SmithKline Beecham in 1997 to join diaDexus as Vice President of Corporate Development.

At diaDexus, Plewman was quickly promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in 1999. Patrick successfully led the company for 12 years until it was acquired by Quest Diagnostics in 2011. After the acquisition, Plewman became a consultant before rejoining Quest Diagnostics in 2013 as General Manager of the Cardiovascular, Metabolic & Endocrinology Clinical Franchise. Patrick was promoted again in 2014 to General Manager of the Infectious Diseases & Immunology and General Health & Wellness Clinical Franchises. In 2016, they were promoted to their current role as Senior Vice President of Diagnostic Services.

Patrick T. Plewman has a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Chemistry and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Patrick T. Plewman reports to Stephen H. Rusckowski, Chairman, President & CEO. They work with Michael E. Prevoznik - SVP, General Counsel, Richard F. Adams - VP & GM, Consumer Initiated Testing, and Catherine T. Doherty - SVP, Regional Businesses.
