David Pile

David Pile is a Senior Editor at Nature Photonics and has been with the publication since 2008. They commenced active research during their undergraduate studies at Queensland University of Technology, where they later earned a Ph.D. in Physics. David continued their academic journey as a JSPS postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tokushima in Japan and an Associate Researcher and plasmonics group leader at UC Berkeley. Throughout their career, David has published 35 research papers and presented extensively at conferences, contributing significantly to the fields of nano-optics and plasmonics. They have also been involved with the Association for Women in Science as an Executive Board Member.
