Stuart Cantrill

Stuart Cantrill is the Editorial Director of the Nature Journals, overseeing the Physics & Chemistry portfolio at Springer Nature since 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Chief Editor of Nature Chemistry and gained editorial experience at Nature Nanotechnology and the American Chemical Society's Organic Letters. Stuart completed a PhD in Chemistry at UCLA, where they also worked as a Lecturer and Research Associate. Their postdoctoral research was conducted at Caltech under Bob Grubbs, and they hold an MPhil and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham. An active Twitter user, Stuart co-founded the #SocialIsolationSocial series during the COVID-19 pandemic.
