Stuart Thomas is an experienced professional in the field of publishing and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Editor for Nature Electronics and Consulting Editor for Nature at Nature Research since April 2017. Prior roles at Nature included Publishing Manager for Strategy Secondment and Associate Editor for both Nature Electronics and Nature Communications. Prior to joining Nature Research, Stuart was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at National Tsing Hua University from August 2014 to March 2017 and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from October 2009 to August 2014, where Stuart completed a PhD in Experimental Solid State Physics focusing on Semiconductor Device Physics. Stuart also worked as an Automation/Control Engineer at IVA Engineering from October 1998 to October 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems and Electronics Engineering from Swansea Metropolitan University.
