Nathan Burgess has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Nathan started their career in 1995 as an Information Technology Consultant, providing software and network implementation and support to non-profit, accounting, and health industries. Nathan worked on designing and implementing technology solutions to improve company performance and trained users to reduce helpdesk requests. From 1999 to 2021, they held various roles at ABWE, including Director of IT Services, Director of Network Operations, and Systems/Network Administrator. In these positions, they were responsible for managing IT infrastructure, overseeing technical projects, coordinating IT activities, and ensuring the stable operation of computer and network systems. In April 2021, Nathan joined Carlisle Area High School as an Infrastructure Engineer II. Currently, they work as the Director of Information Technology at Questeq, starting in October 2022.
Nathan Burgess has a diverse education history. Nathan started their academic journey by completing a high school diploma at Abington Heights High School in 1988. Following this, they attended Clarks Summit University for a year, focusing on Bible/Biblical Studies.
In 2001, Nathan pursued Advanced Computer Technology Training, where they obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer. This certification enhanced their knowledge in Information Technology. Later, in 2013, they enrolled at Central Penn College to earn a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
Continuing their educational pursuit, Nathan graduated from Central Penn College in 2016 with a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership. To further specialize in their field, they enrolled in Capella University in 2018 to pursue a Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) degree with a concentration in Information Technology Project Management. Nathan is expected to complete this program in 2025.
Furthermore, Nathan has obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2000, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional, further validating their expertise in Information Technology. Additionally, they received training in Situational Leadership from the Center for Leadership Studies in 2006.
