Donna Layton

Donna Layton, PHR, SHRM-CP has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Donna is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at Questex since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Human Resources Director at Outside from April 2021 to June 2022. In their role at Outside, they were responsible for partnering with the Chief Content Officer, COO, and Vice Presidents, providing coaching and guidance to management and employees, and cultivating an innovative and collaborative culture.

From March 2017 to December 2020, Donna worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Informa Markets. In this role, they were a strategic HR partner supporting 400 colleagues across multiple states in the US, London, and Amsterdam. Donna oversaw the Human Resources department for US Global Exhibitions and played a key role in coaching and developing associates, team leaders, and managers.

Before their time at Informa Markets, Donna worked at New Hope Network from January 2013 to March 2017. During this time, they served as a Director of Human Resources, supporting 350 colleagues in multiple states. Donna led complicated investigations, partnered closely with legal counsel, developed selection and hiring processes, and implemented the company's first digital onboarding solution. Prior to their director role, Donna was a Human Resources Manager at New Hope Network, responsible for full recruiting lifecycle and leading social media recruiting efforts.

Donna's earlier experience includes roles as a Human Resources Manager at Via Mobility Services from May 2006 to November 2007, Director of Human Resources at Boulder Good Samaritan Health Care from January 2005 to May 2006, Personnel Manager at UCHealth from October 2003 to January 2005, and Branch Manager/HR Recruiter at The Job Store Staffing (Colorado) from April 1999 to October 2003.

Donna Layton, PHR, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Since then, they have obtained various certifications including Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HR Certification Institute and Society of Human Resources (SHRM), as well as Certified Business Coach status from The Business Coaching Academy Ltd. Donna has also completed multiple courses and certifications related to human resources and professional development through LinkedIn.
