Barbara Cline possesses extensive experience in education and administrative roles within the quilting industry, currently serving as an Education Assistant and Administrative Assistant at Quilts, Inc. since April 2015, where responsibilities include planning classes and organizing classroom setups for quilt shows. Previously, Barbara worked as a Sales Assistant for Quilts, Inc. in November 2014, managing merchandise and customer interactions. Earlier in their career, Barbara served as a Research Assistant at the Illinois State Geological Survey from May 1983 to February 1987, conducting chemical analyses on soil samples. Barbara holds a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, both from Kent State University.

Quilts, Inc. is the parent company of International Quilt Festival/Houston (founded 1974), the country's largest quilt show, as well as a trade show, International Quilt Market, held each fall in Houston and each spring in a different city across the country. We have also launched a new conference, Threads of Success, geared toward new or upcoming designers, writers, teachers, or retailers.
