Vincent Bouchard sustainably farms 14 hectares / 35 acres of vineyards, rated A in Douro’s classification system, similar to Burgundy’s Grand Cru. 24+ native grape varieties grow on mature hand-harvested vines in schist soils. This sun-drenched steep-terraced landscape is the source of excellent Douro DOC and fortified wines. 

Since 1992, Burgundian Vincent Bouchard and Californian Kay Steffey Bouchard have lovingly restored and modernized Quinta do Tedo, an 18th-century estate. Today, with the savoir-faire of General Manager and Winemaker Jorge Alves, they produce internationally-acclaimed red and rosé Douro DOC wines, Ports and olive oil of exceptional quality.

Quinta do Tedo is located in an ecological reserve at the confluence of the Tedo and Douro Rivers in the heart of Portugal's UNESCO World Heritage Douro Valley, the world's oldest demarcated and regulated vineyard appellation.
