Justin Yang

Justin Yang is the current Medical Director at Quit Genius. Prior to that, they were the US Chief Medical Officer at Kaia Health from August 2020 to March 2022. In this role, they represented Kaia as an expert at various conferences, such as AHIP, Health Action Council, Conference Board, EBN and THRVEx. Justin also drove the success of external sales, marketing and engagement efforts as Chief Medical Officer, contributing clinical perspectives in client meetings and user webinars.

Justin Yang established Kaia as a clinical rotation site for Harvard’s Occ Med Residency Program, adding significant value and credibility to Kaia’s clinical team. Justin also contributed as a key opinion leader in the development of “Kaia Gateway” by designing a brand-new triage algorithm for Gateway, transforming Kaia from a pure AI-tech self-management program to a care delivery digital front-door for musculoskeletal conditions.

In addition, Justin Yang collaborated with the therapy delivery team to map out the clinical journey within the app and support the content team in revamping existing exercise and pain educational contents. Justin also engaged in research and development with the analytics and medical research teams on drafting new clinical trials and evaluating real-world evidence from existing user database. Lastly, they served as an expert to commercial strategic partnerships and long-term strategy planning. Justin also supported the client success team on defining therapy success metrics, assessing member outcome results and interpreting claims data/ ROI statistics.

Justin Yang has a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Doctor of Medicine from Peking University Health Science Center. Justin is certified in HIPPA and Research Data Security from Accountable HQ, CITI Program, and AMERICAN BOARD OF PREVENTIVE MEDICINE. Justin is also certified in Good Clinical Practice from CITI Program and Health Information Privacy and Security (HIPS) for Clinical Investigators from CITI Program. Additionally, Justin Yang is a Certified Medical Examiner (NRCME) from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and is board certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Justin is ACLS, PALS, and BLS certified from the American Heart Association and is Buprenorphine Waiver Certified from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
