Melissa Bates

Melissa Bates is an experienced sales professional currently serving as the Director of Sales at OpenPhone since January 2023, preceded by roles as Senior Sales Manager at Hopin and various sales positions at WeWork and Staples Business Advantage. With a strong background in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales teams, Melissa has successfully executed recruitment and training initiatives, as well as assisted in the full sales cycle for mid-market businesses. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. in American Studies, Melissa also has a history as a student-athlete on the Cal Women’s Swim Team, where leadership and decision-making skills were honed through rigorous training and competition.
