Dara Tarkowski

Chief Innovation Strategist at Quointec

Dara Tarkowski has a long and varied work experience. Dara began their career in 2003 as Membership Manager at the Strategic Account Management Association, where they managed corporate and individual membership. In 2007, they moved to Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP as a Litigation Associate. In 2014, they became a Partner at Akerman LLP. In 2018, they became the Managing Partner at Actuate Law, where they represent creditors in a range of litigation and regulatory matters. Dara also serves as Outside General Counsel for a national debt buyer and collection agency and provides compliance counseling on best practices in the financial services sector. In 2018, they also became the Chief Innovation Strategist at quointec and in 2019, they became the Co-Founder and Host of the Tech on Reg Podcast and Co-Founder of Illinois Women Vote. In 2018, they also became an Advisor and Outside General Counsel for FinTEx. In 2022, they will become Co-Founder and General Counsel for ITP MDR, LLC.

Dara Tarkowski obtained their JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law between 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their BS in Political Science and Communications from Northwestern University between 2000 and 2003. Dara also holds a Certified Receivables Compliance Professional (CRCP) certification from the Receivables Management Association International.
