Amy Chen has a diverse work experience across various companies. Amy started their career as a Nexus Fellowship at The D. E. Shaw Group in August 2018. Later that year, they also worked as a Cyber Intern at Northrop Grumman from June to September. In October 2018, Amy had a brief stint at Twitter for the #FirstFlight project. In 2019, they gained experience at Yelp as a Software Engineering Intern from January to April. Amy then moved on to BlackRock, where they served as a Portfolio Analytics Intern from June to August. Amy also had an internship at Flexport as a Software Engineering Intern from September to November. Most recently, in August 2020, Amy joined Quora as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Amy Chen attended William Fremd High School from 2012 to 2016. Following their high school education, they went on to Northwestern University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences, Statistics, and Economics from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, they also participated in the Summer Venture in Management program at Harvard Business School in 2019.
