Ryan Bridges has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Ryan began their career as a Student Technician at the Applied Research Laboratories at The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. Ryan then worked as an Embedded Design Engineer Intern at Nexersys in 2014. In the same year, they also served as a Research Assistant at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). In 2015, Ryan joined Epic as a Software Development Intern, specializing in Data Warehouse. Later that year, they became a Research Associate at The University of Texas at Austin, where they focused on designing and developing methods for clinical validity determination using natural language processing techniques. In 2016, Ryan joined Epic again, but this time as a Software Engineer with a focus on Predictive Analytics. During their time at Epic, they contributed to building tooling and procedures for a new cloud machine learning platform. Most recently, in 2019, Ryan joined Quora as a Machine Learning Engineer, working on implementing solutions to meet the product needs of the large-scale internet company. Ryan extensively used Python with data science and machine learning libraries in this role.
Ryan Bridges attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering. During their time at the university, they also pursued a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Embedded Systems and Software.
