Neil Karan

Neil Karan has extensive work experience as a software developer and reservoir engineer. Neil started their career at Binoid Solutions Corporation in 2007 as a Software Developer consultant, where they worked on web application projects using Java, C#, and the .NET environment. In 2011, they joined BP as a Systems Engineer consultant, developing and maintaining a reserves and resources management system using VB/VBA, MS Access, PL/SQL, Oracle, and Crystal Reports. Neil also worked as a Reserves Coordinator, managing and reporting oil and gas reserve and resource volumes for BP Canada. Additionally, Neil worked at Entero Corporation as a Software Developer, primarily developing the MOSAIC application using Java. Currently, they are a Software Developer at Aucerna, starting in 2018, and at Quorum Software, starting in 2021.

Neil Karan attended the University of Calgary from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering. Neil also obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (P.Eng) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
