Wei is a biomedical research scientist with more than 10 years of experience studying cardiovascular and neurological disorders. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Utah, Wei further elucidated the molecular mechanisms for cardiac hERG K+ channels and the drug-induced long QT syndrome. Prior to joining Quris, Wei worked as a project scientist at UCSD and he successfully utilized iPSC/organoid platforms for modeling multiple neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, epilepsy, and opioid use disorder. Wei earned a Ph.D. degree from the University of Hong Kong where his research focused on electrophysiology and ion channels. In his free time, Wei enjoys hiking and traveling with his family.
