Steve Sexton has held various software engineering roles since 1992. Steve began their career as a Programmer/Analyst Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa. Steve then moved on to National Computer Systems, where they held the role of Software Developer III from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, they became a Software Engineer/Architect at Mercator (now IBM), where they developed connectivity adapters for R/3, E-mail, FTP, HTTP, SSL, and SOCKS. From 2003 to 2006, Sexton was the Owner of Digital Edge Software & Consulting, where they worked as a self-employed computer software consultant. Steve then moved on to Echo360 as a Principal Software Engineer, where they developed various aspects of a classroom-focused enterprise multimedia capture system. In 2008, Sexton joined DualEnroll.com as a Senior Software Engineer, developing Rails 3, postgresql, BPM, ruote, Heroku, and git. In 2014, they became a Senior Software Developer at Route1, developing smartcard-based remote access and disk encryption products. Sexton is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at QuSecure.
Steve Sexton obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Management (Business Administration) from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993. In 2018, they also obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional (G615-8702) certification from Microsoft.
