Igor Nakonechnyi has a wide range of work experience. From 2008 to 2020, they have held various roles in the fields of product engineering, research, and teaching. In 2008, they were a Summer Intern at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where they conducted high-temperature CdZnTe crystals annealing and IR microscopy and IV measurements of as-grown and annealed samples. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Junior Research Associate, Lab Assistant, and Post-Graduate Student at Chernivtsi National University, where they studied the influence of Cd0. 9Zn0. 1Te detector-grade crystals annealing themodynamic conditions on the point and bulk defects system transformations. In 2013, they were a Teaching Assistant at Bukovinian State Medical University. From 2014 to 2015, they were an Erasmus Mundus Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University, where they conducted research on bringing quantum dots towards application through filling the gap of knowledge about stability of QDs and developing large-scale production processes. In 2015, they were granted an IWT-Vlaio Innovation Mandate in collaboration with Novopolymers NV on developing scalable technique for making QD foils. In 2020, they became the Founder and Director, CPO of QustomDot, where they are responsible for managing R&D framework and application engineering. Theirmission is to realize the full potential of quantum dots by providing customized solutions for next-generation applications.
Igor Nakonechnyi has a diverse educational background. Igor began their studies in 1997 at Chernivtsi Gymnasium #4, where they studied English. Igor then attended Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Igor continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master of Science in Chemistry in 2009. In 2012, they completed their education at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University with a Candidate of Sciences (Ph.D. equivalent) in Solid State Chemistry. Additionally, Igor has obtained numerous certifications, including "Agile Hardware Development" from the Agile Business Institute in 2022, "Using Python for Research" from edX in 2017, and "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera in 2016.
