Yuantong Gu

Yuantong Gu is currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Head of School, and Director of ARC ITTC at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where they established the School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering. Since January 2020, this school has become one of the largest and highest-achieving entities at QUT, comprising 100 staff and over 1,000 undergraduate students. They have also concluded roles as Acting Head of the School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering and Discipline Leader in Mechanical Systems and Asset Management. As an accomplished researcher in computational mechanics, Yuantong has secured approximately $40M in research funding and authored over 400 publications, contributing significantly to the field and acquiring a global reputation.
