Ari Manninen

Ari Manninen has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Ari started their career as a Part-time teacher at the University of Jyväskylä in 2000, where they guided students in hands-on demos using case tools. In the same year, they also worked as a System Analyst at Sysline, Inc., where they were responsible for requirements engineering and testing duties in customer projects.

In 2002, Ari became a Research Assistant at the University of Jyväskylä, where they worked until 2003. During this time, they gained experience in research assistance.

From 2003 to 2013, Ari worked at Ixonos as a QA Specialist, where they performed test engineer to test manager duties in different customer projects. Ari led teams of 2-12 testers and focused on handheld mobile devices & apps, mobile SDKs, and complex websites.

Since joining Qvantel in 2013, Ari has held several roles. Ari started as a Senior Test Engineer and later became a Release Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for continuous integration, build & release management, and service configuration management in customer projects. Ari also worked on devops tasks in fully orchestrated environments. From June 2021 to October 2021, Ari served as the Manager of Release Automation. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Release at Qvantel, leading the Release Unit and overseeing program resourcing, line management, and technical tasks in devops, configuration management, and cloud software delivery.

Ari Manninen attended the University of Jyväskylä from 1997 to 2003, where they obtained a M.Sc. (Econ) degree in Computer Science. Before that, from 1996 to 1997, they attended the Finnish Air Force C3 Systems School, where they received the rank of Corporal, although the field of study is unknown. In addition to their education, Ari Manninen also obtained the Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from ISEB/ISTQB in January 2005.
