John Long

John Long is a neuroscientist, engineer, and technology entrepreneur currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO at Qwake Technologies. Since 2016, they have led the development of C-Thru, a computer vision platform designed for firefighters to navigate through smoke and darkness. Prior to this role, they completed a post-doctoral fellowship at New York University from 2012 to 2018, focusing on reinforcement learning and developing advanced motion capture systems. John earned their Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Berkeley, where they also received a double major in Neurobiology and Philosophy.
