Shabbir Bata

Shabbir Bata has extensive work experience in the field of cloud engineering and infrastructure. Shabbir currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Cloud Engineering at 66degrees, where they lead a team of over 30 Cloud Architects and Engineers and collaborates with internal stakeholders to drive new initiatives and evolve solutions. Prior to this, Shabbir worked as the Director of Infrastructure at the same company, where they successfully managed a geographically distributed team and supported their professional growth. Before joining 66degrees, Shabbir served as the GCP Infrastructure Manager at PierianDx, where they led a team of 15 Cloud Architects and Engineers, provided guidance and mentorship, and drove standardization of engineering solutions. Shabbir also has experience as a DevOps Manager and Senior DevOps Engineer at PierianDx, where they were responsible for delivering technology solutions, leading compliance audits, and streamlining deployments. Shabbir's career in cloud engineering began at Atos, where they worked as a Cloud Intern and gained experience in planning and designing cloud architecture solutions.

Shabbir Bata completed their education as follows:

- From 2020 to 2022, they attended the University of the Cumberlands and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration, Management and Operations.

- In 2015 and 2016, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Sacred Heart University.

- From 2011 to 2015, they attended M.H. Saboo Siddik College Of Engineering and earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, they obtained certification in various areas such as Rapid Migration Program, Generative AI Fundamentals, Generative AI for Business Leaders, Introduction to Large Language Models, Introduction to Responsible AI, and Introduction to Generative AI from Google. Shabbir also holds certifications as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) and AWS Certified Developer (Associate) from Amazon Web Services, obtained in 2017.
