R.J. Leeper Construction is a Charlotte-based general contractor with more than 30 years of experience building projects that shape communities and empower people. As a subsidiary of Bright Hope Capital, we are committed to purpose-driven growth — delivering exceptional construction services while advancing opportunity for minority- and women-owned businesses across the Carolinas. From our headquarters in Charlotte and our regional office in Wilmington, we serve clients across North and South Carolina and select projects throughout the Southeast.

We provide a full range of services, including preconstruction, construction management at risk (CM@R), general contracting, design-build, estimating and project controls, safety and quality management, and workforce development and community engagement. Our team is experienced in managing complex, phased, and occupied renovations, bringing expertise in cost modeling, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and risk management to every project.

Our work spans multiple verticals: healthcare facilities, K–12 schools, higher education buildings, civic and municipal projects, sports and entertainment venues, commercial and mixed-use developments, infrastructure and industrial facilities, civil and concrete packages, electrical services, and our janitorial and facility solutions division. This breadth allows us to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for clients — from sitework and building systems to long-term facility maintenance.

Known for exceeding MWBE participation goals and developing robust workforce pipelines, we are building a company that reflects the communities we serve. At R.J. Leeper Construction, we believe construction is about building people, projects, and partnerships with purpose.
