Julio M.

Julio M. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware engineering and management. Currently serving as Senior Director of Hardware Engineering at R-Zero since January 2024, Julio previously held roles such as Engineering Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer at Square from May 2019 to August 2023. Prior to that, Julio worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at PCH Innovation Hub and Highway1, and as a Lead RF Engineer at Acuity Brands, where responsibilities included designing wireless lighting controllers. Julio co-founded and served as CEO of WISEMX, contributing to the development of IEEE 802.15, and held multiple positions at Freescale Semiconductor, including Engineering Manager and Senior RF Engineer. Earlier career experiences include hardware development at Continental and RF instrument support at Agilent Technologies. Julio holds an MSc in RF Design from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara and a BSc in Electronic Engineering from Universidad La Salle, A.C.
