RAAP
Rik Vaessen is an experienced project advisor and project manager at RAAP, where contributions to archaeology have been made since September 2015, initially as a junior project leader and later advancing to senior KNA archaeologist/prospector. Prior to this role, Rik served as a field technician/archaeologist at Vriens Archeo Flex BV from June 2009 to July 2016, participating in numerous archaeological field projects across the Netherlands and Belgium. Educationally, Rik holds a Ph.D. in Archaeology from The University of Sheffield, alongside key research and fellowship experiences at Koç University and Bilkent University, complemented by a Master’s degree in Aegean Archaeology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mediterranean Archaeology.
