Rogier de Groot is a senior archeologist and project leader at RAAP Archeologisch Adviesbureau since August 2006, overseeing various archaeological projects in (West) Netherlands with a focus on scientific and technical leadership. Previously, Rogier served as Strandcommandant at Zoetermeerse redingsbrigade from May 2012 to February 2017 and worked as an archeologist at Synthegra archeologie from August 2005 to July 2006, conducting borehole projects and trial trench investigations primarily in West and some parts of East Netherlands. Earlier roles include archeological employee at SOB Research and project employee for the municipality of Rijswijk, managing diverse archaeological tasks across the country. Rogier holds a Drs degree in Archeology with a specialization in ZW Levant from Leiden University (1995-2000) and completed VWO at Pallas College, Zoetermeer (1989-1995).
