Daniël Poolen

Daniël Poolen is the Head of Sustainable Capital Markets at Rabobank, focusing on sustainability-linked and green financing while advising on the European Green Taxonomy. They have previously worked as an Energy Transition Specialist and Chief Plastic Officer at Plastic Mining Cooperation, contributing significantly to the fight against plastic pollution. Daniël holds an MSc in Sustainable Industrial Design Engineering from the University of Twente and has experience as a consultant and investigative journalist for various environmental organizations and media outlets. They are also the author of the children's book "Tot over mijn oren in het plastic" (Head over heels in plastic).
