Marlene van Waveren

Marlene van Waveren is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in credit strategy and risk management, currently serving as the Team Lead for Credit Strategy and Oversight at Rabobank since December 2021. In this role, Marlene oversees internal and regulatory credit reporting and provides updates on credit risk model projects. Previous experience includes serving as a Credit Management Advisor, where responsibilities encompassed reporting to internal committees and managing cross-area projects, and as a Model Risk Manager, focusing on developing Model Risk Management policies. Prior to Rabobank, Marlene held roles at Deloitte and EY, where contributions included leading model validation efforts and supporting audits of IFRS 9 impairment models in major banking institutions. Marlene holds a Bachelor of Scientiae Honors and a Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Risk Management from North-West University.
