Gary Boyd

Gary Boyd is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data center engineering and operations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Data Center Facility Engineering at Oracle since August 2022, Boyd previously held the position of Senior Director of DC Project Engineering at Rackspace Hosting from February 2005, where responsibilities included site selection, design, and construction of next-generation data centers, as well as overseeing design development and construction meetings. Boyd has also held leadership roles in data center operations across EMEA, ensuring compliance with SLAs and customer expectations. Early career roles include Operations Manager at Group NBT Plc and Country Director at Raleigh International, where program planning and stakeholder negotiation were key responsibilities. Boyd began a military career as an Officer in the Royal Marines and served as an Artificer in the Royal Navy before pursuing an MBA at Brunel University London.
