Mark Barta

Mark Barta has over 15 years of experience in software development and management, primarily at Rackspace Technology since May 2008. In the role of Software Development Manager for VMware Private Cloud, Mark leads multiple teams focused on the evolution of the Rackspace Public Cloud, utilizing OpenStack technology. Previous responsibilities include establishing a software development team dedicated to automation tools for operational support and managing escalation support for OpenStack Public Cloud. Mark's career at Rackspace began in 2007, where various roles were held that progressed from Linux System Administrator I to leadership positions. Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Texas State University, completed between 2013 and 2016.
