Bas Verhoeven

Director Surgical Residency Training Program at Radboudumc

Bas Verhoeven has a diverse work history in the medical field. Bas began their career as a Student FdG at Universiteit Maastricht in 1988 and continued their education there until 1996. In 1998, they joined UMC Groningen as an AIOS Surgery, where they worked until 2002. From 2002 to 2005, Verhoeven served as an AIOS at Medical Center Leeuwarden. In 2005, they became a Fellow in CHIVO Pediatric Surgery at Academic Medical Center and they worked there until 2007. During this time, they also had a brief role as a Staflid Kinderchirurgie at VU University Medical Center. In 2007, Verhoeven joined Academic Hospital Maastricht as a Pediatric Surgeon and worked there until 2012. From 2007 to 2019, they also worked as an Educational Advisor at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. Finally, in 2012, Verhoeven became a Pediatric Surgeon at Radboudumc, and they also took on the role of Director of the Surgical Residency Training Program.
