Rob Collin

Professor

Rob Collin is a distinguished academic and industry leader in the field of molecular therapy for inherited retinal diseases. Currently serving as a Professor at Radboudumc since January 2021 and as Chief Scientific Officer at Astherna since May 2021, Rob has extensive experience in developing gene therapies for inherited blindness. Previous positions include Associate Professor at Radboud University Medical Centre from August 2016 to January 2021, Assistant Professor at Radboud University Medical Centre Nijmegen from 2010 to July 2016, and a Research Scientist at the University of Pennsylvania for a brief period in 2010. Early career roles included Post-doctoral researcher and PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen. Rob holds an MSc in Chemistry from Radboud University, attained between 1995 and 2000, and completed secondary education at Thomascollege in Venlo from 1989 to 1995.
