Senior Operations Manager at RadiaSoft

Joan Danver is the Senior Operations Manager at RadiaSoft. Prior to that, they were the Project Manager at Open Medicine Institute from August 2014 to April 2018.

At Open Medicine Institute, Joan oversaw research activities for multiple studies across 5 sites, mainly related to CFS/ME/SEID (four with the CDC) but also including biobanking and other data collection studies. Her responsibilities included scheduling subjects' office visits; subject consent/assent; subject follow-up; the coordination, collection, and tracking of biological samples; coordination, collection, and tracking of data through questionnaires; data review; following of good clinic practices (GCP) and HIPAA requirements; and working with sponsors.

Joan also wrote and assisted in writing and modifying consent forms for five different studies at OMI, as well as reviewed, modified, and submitted consent/assent forms for four different studies for the CDC. Joan has created forms and questionnaires approved for use in clinical research studies.

Furthermore, Joan is comfortable working with an IRB and completes all Continuing Review Reports for studies for PI to review, as well as closes out all studies upon completion. Joan has also worked with the Western Institutional Review Board (WIRB) on approval, reviewing and submission of research studies.

Lastly, Joan manages the EMR by creating clinical and study workflows for use by staff, patients, and subjects to streamline data collection processes. Joan also creates electronic versions of consent forms and questionnaires for use in clinical research studies and forms for clinic use. If there are any issues with aspects of the EMR, they troubleshoot and reports them.

Joan Danver has a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Stony Brook University, a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, General from Williams College, and a Certification in Project Management from Colorado State University. Joan also has HIPAA Security, OSHA, and Protecting Human Research Participants certifications from the National Institutes of Health, and is a Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator.
