Frederic Babord

Frederic Babord has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the gaming industry. Frederic currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Radical Forge Ltd, where they are responsible for the IT Infrastructure and Security of a growing games studio. In addition, they also handle HR, admin, IT support, and general management tasks. Frederic helped start Radical Forge in 2017 as a Technical Director, contributing to the growth of the company from 2 to over 47 employees. Frederic has been involved in multiple external projects and was nominated as the Best Micro Studio at the Develop Star Awards in 2019. Prior to this, Frederic worked as a Software Engineer at the company.

Furthermore, Frederic has worked at Teesside University as both a Part-Time and Special Lecturer, teaching and providing guidance to Game Design and Games Programming students. Frederic encouraged students to participate in game jams and networking events to enhance their skills and knowledge of the industry. Frederic has also been a Digital Trainer in Games Design at RAW Digital Training and worked as a Freelance Programmer during their self-employment. Frederic gained experience as a Programmer Intern during an internship at RUCE and held a Sales Assistant role at Gleeda Limited.

Frederic Babord completed their education in a chronological manner. Frederic attended Bishop Wordsworth Grammar School from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued A Level Computing & Economics and AS Level Geology. Subsequently, they enrolled at Teesside University from 2014 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Games Programming.

Additionally, Frederic acquired a certification as a Unity Certified Programmer from Unity Technologies in May 2018.
