Edwin Brown

Edwin Brown has over 25 years of work experience in software engineering and cloud architecture. Edwin is currently working as a Sr Software Engineer at Raft since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Sr Java Streaming Engineer at Ness Digital Engineering from October 2022 to April 2023, where they were responsible for developing a financial streaming application using Flink and Java. Edwin also worked as a Principal Cloud Engineer at Enlighten, An Alion Company from April 2021 to October 2022.

Before that, Edwin served as a Streaming Analytics Lead - Cyber Analytics Research and Development at SAS from May 2015 to April 2021. Edwin also worked as a Sr Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman from September 2013 to May 2015, where they focused on data analytics using technologies such as IBM InfoStreams, map/reduce, PIG, and Java.

Edwin has also held positions such as Principal Architect at MasterPeace Solutions from March 2013 to September 2013, and Principal Enterprise Architect at Vision Systems & Technology, Inc. a SAS Company from May 2002 to March 2013. At Vision Systems & Technology, Inc., they were responsible for researching and implementing various enterprise applications and led a team as a senior software architect.

Earlier in their career, Edwin worked as a Systems Engineer at Harris from 2006 to 2007, where they provided technical and system engineering support. Edwin also served as a Sr. Engineer at TeleCommunication Systems from 2001 to 2002, and as a Sr. Software Engineer at Edge Technologies, Inc from 1998 to 2001.

Edwin Brown's education history starts with their high school education at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, where they pursued a course of study from 1977 to 1981. After completing high school, they attended the University of Virginia from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Edwin has obtained a certification in Security+ from CompTIA in August 2013.
