Rob Auty

Rob Auty has a diverse work experience. Rob currently works at Railpen as a Director of Enterprise Risk since August 2022. Rob also served as the Director of Internal Audit from March 2022 to August 2022 and as the Head of Business Assurance from July 2019 to March 2022.

Additionally, they have been involved with believe housing since September 2020 as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. Rob is also affiliated with the Federation of Mowden Schools Academy Trust, where they hold various roles such as Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee and Vice Chair of the Full Governing Body.

In their past, they worked at PwC as a Senior Manager from July 2015 to July 2019, a Manager from July 2011 to June 2015, and an Associate/Senior Associate from September 2006 to July 2011. Furthermore, they served as a Non-Executive Trustee for Depaul Housing Services, a subsidiary of Depaul UK, from November 2016 to April 2019. Lastly, they began their career at Citizens Advice as a Volunteer Assessor in May 2005.

Rob Auty attended Hummersknott School in Darlington from 1996 to 2001. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled in Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington, where they pursued A Levels from 2001 to 2003. Following their time at the sixth form college, Rob Auty joined Newcastle University, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2006. Rob furthered their education at ICAEW, obtaining the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification in 2009. As part of their professional development, Auty acquired additional certifications, including the Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) designation from ICAEW, obtained in 2020. Rob also received the Certified Chief Audit Executive certification from cRisk Academy in 2022 and became a Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in 2021.
