Linney Warren has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. Linney began their career as a Marketing Intern at Amanda Wakeley in 2008, before transitioning to Design Intern roles at Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs International in 2009. In 2010, Linney worked as a Freelance Accessories Designer at J Crew and then joined The Jones Group as an Associate Designer for Jones New York. Linney later moved to Banana Republic, where they served as an Associate Designer for Woven Tops and Cut & Sew Knits. In 2016, Linney joined Rails as a Designer and progressed to Senior Designer in 2017 and Design Director in 2019. Most recently, they assumed the role of VP of Womens Design at Rails in January 2022.

Linney Warren attended Colorado State University from 2005 to 2009, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel and Merchandising with a focus on Apparel Design and Production.
