Brad Howard

Brad Howard has been in the engineering and data science field for over 8 years. In 2021, they began their current role as VP Engineering & Chief Data Scientist at Railspire. Prior to that, they were an Analytics Subject Matter Expert at Hitachi Global Digital Holdings (2020), Director of Artificial Intelligence at Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company (2018), Senior Data Scientist at Predikto (2016), and Senior Product Development Systems Engineer at New York Air Brake (2013). At New York Air Brake, they served as a Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for development/validation of high fidelity dynamic models, managed the technical aspects and led the development and implementation of predictive control strategies, architected a predictive maintenance solution for rail cars, and developed Bayesian-based sensor fusion algorithms to determine high fidelity track topology.

Brad Howard earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2004 to 2005.
