Devante Jefferson is a seasoned multimedia organizer and videographer with extensive experience in creating content that engages and mobilizes audiences. Currently serving as a Multimedia Organizer at People's Action Institute since April 2022, Devante develops digital advocacy products and timely content in response to current events. At the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, since February 2020, responsibilities include filming and editing for a nationally-syndicated forum and producing original video content for special projects. Previous roles encompass a Senior Multimedia Videographer position at Urban Broadcast Media, where Devante enhanced social media engagement significantly, and various positions in radio and retail management, showcasing a diverse skill set in multimedia production, event management, and sales. The Rainbow PUSH Coalition (RPC) is a multi-racial, multi-issue, progressive, international membership organization fighting for social change. Its mission is to protect, defend, and gain civil rights by leveling the economic and educational playing fields, and to promote peace and justice around the world.The issues the organization focuses oninclude poverty and hunger, peace and justice, gun violence, home foreclosure, corporate inclusion, and voter registration.The Rainbow PUSH Coalition was formed in December 1996 by Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. through the merging of two organizations he founded earlier: People United to Serve Humanity, which was founded in 1971; and the Rainbow Coalition, which was founded in 1984. The organization is headquartered in Chicago, United States with offices in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Oakland.
