Gercek Karakus

Gercek Karakus has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gercek is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Raklet, where they focus on building, growing, and monetizing the audience through various digital tools. Prior to that, they worked at Redbeacon as a Product Architect, playing multiple roles in engineering, design, and product development. Gercek also co-founded kimburda.com, a social search engine for Turkey, where they worked as a Co-founder and UX Engineer, responsible for designing the product interface, front-end development, and optimizing usability. Gercek has also worked at Six Apart as a Developer/Designer, working on information architecture, visual design, and front-end development for clients like KCET and Coca Cola Corp. Before that, Gercek founded Design & Code, a company that developed custom content management systems using open-source technologies for small businesses. Additionally, they have worked as a Web Developer at Binghamton University and as a Junior Project Manager at IBM Solutions Delivery.

Gercek Karakus completed their primary education at Galatasaray Lisesi from 1999 to 2004, focusing on Mathematics and Science. Gercek then pursued higher education, simultaneously attending two universities. From 2004 to 2008, they studied Information Systems Engineering at Boğaziçi University, and also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems at Binghamton University during the same period.
