Athanasios Kolios

Professor Athanasios Kolios is currently the Head of the Section of Structural Integrity and Loads Assessment at the Technical University of Denmark and serves as a Principal Consultant at Ramboll. With a robust academic background that includes a Dip-Eng in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc, a PhD, and an MBA, Athanasios has a strong focus on risk management and reliability engineering, contributing to significant funded projects exceeding £3.5 million. Previously, they held various academic and leadership roles at institutions such as the University of Strathclyde and Cranfield University, driving research and education in engineering risk and asset management. Athanasios also presided as President of the European Academy of Wind Energy, fostering advancements in wind energy research and knowledge exchange within the field.
