Ferry Smits

Ferry Smits is the Head of Department for Building Advisory & Consultancy at Ramboll, a leading engineering and consultancy firm, where they lead a team of over 30 specialists in building physics, acoustics, and fire engineering. With more than 15 years of experience in the field, they have worked on a variety of projects, including passive houses, energy-efficient buildings, and large-scale renovations. Ferry holds master's degrees in building technology from both TU Eindhoven and DTU, along with a certification from RIF, the Association of Consulting Engineers in Norway, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable design and building performance. Prior to their current role, Ferry held various positions, including Technical Manager at Ramboll and Discipline Leader at LINK Arkitektur, where they focused on technology and sustainability in architectural projects.
