Karsten Schürmann

Karsten Schürmann is currently the Team Lead and Chief Engineer at Ramboll in Wind Engineering, where they oversee a skilled team of engineers and manage the design processes for offshore wind farms with jacket foundations. Previously, Karsten served as a Senior Engineer at Ramboll, focusing on detailed design and fatigue assessments, and played a pivotal role as Technical Secretary for the ECCS Technical Committee on Wind Energy Supporting Structures, organizing biannual meetings. Karsten earned a Dr.-Ing. in Civil Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover and also holds multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Ruhr-Universität Bochum and The University of Sheffield.
