René Hoeijmakers

René Hoeijmakers is the Global Division Director for Water & Wastewater Treatment at Ramboll, where they oversee full P&L responsibilities and lead a team of approximately 300 staff across multiple countries, focusing on advanced water treatment solutions. René previously held positions as the Owner of Next21, Interim Managing Director, and Executive Director at Ramboll, as well as roles in business development and consultancy at Royal HaskoningDHV and KWR Watercycle Research Institute. They have also contributed to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development as Co-Chair of the Water Reuse Group. René holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering from HAS Green Academy and an Executive Certificate in Innovation Management from MIT Sloan School of Management.
