Simon Banfield is a highly experienced structural and multidisciplinary design professional, currently serving as the Commercial Sector Lead and Director in the Buildings Division at Ramboll since October 2015. With a strong focus on commercial buildings, including offices and life sciences, Simon manages a team of engineers while leading diverse projects. Prior to Ramboll, Simon held the position of Associate Structural Engineer at Webb Yates Engineers, where responsibilities included leading teams on a variety of projects, such as the conversion of a Grade II* listed building and the design of residential and educational facilities. Simon's career began at Arup as a Senior Structural Engineer, focusing on complex structural solutions, and includes experience as a Site Engineer at Vinci Construction PLC. Simon is a Chartered Structural Engineer and Chartered Civil Engineer, holding an MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.
