Thomas Thatcher is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Rambus since November 2017, Thomas previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Oracle from 2010 to September 2017, specializing in full-chip verification of SPARC processor chips and focusing on on-chip I/O blocks such as PCI Express, Infiniband, and Ethernet. Prior to Oracle, Thomas worked at Sun Microsystems from 2003 to 2010 as a Staff Engineer, leading formal verification efforts for Sun's SPARC processors and contributing to the OpenSPARC program. Thomas began their career at Agilent Technologies from 1999 to 2003 as a Design Engineer, where responsibilities included design and verification for networking chips. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Seattle University.
