User Research Lead at Randori

Stuart Penman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Stuart is currently the User Research Lead at Randori, an IBM Company, where they are responsible for setting up a user research practice and team. Prior to this, Stuart worked at IBM as the User Research Lead for Managed Security Services, managing a team of researchers and overseeing user research programs. Before joining IBM, Stuart worked as a User Researcher at Comcast Cable, where they collaborated with product managers, designers, and business teams to guide product development and refinement. Stuart also has experience as a User Researcher at Bresslergroup, where they focused on developing user experiences for consumer apps and medical devices. Additionally, Stuart has interned at Breakaway Innovation Group, where they worked on strategic planning and client workshops, and at Samsung Electronics as a Consulting Research and Strategy Lead. Stuart has also conducted research and built prototypes at MIT Media Lab and founded their own venture, Journeyman Jack. Stuart's early experience includes roles as a Woodshop Monitor and Business Principles TA at Rhode Island School of Design, as well as receiving a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for a revitalization project in Providence, Rhode Island.

Stuart Penman completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design between 2010 and 2014.
