Harvind Samra

Harvind Samra is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in telecommunications and signal processing. Currently serving as Chief Architect at Africa Mobile Networks Ltd since August 2020, Harvind drives the development of software-defined Radio Access Network solutions. As co-founder, VP Engineering, and CTO at Range Networks, Harvind has been instrumental in commercializing OpenBTS into a deployable cellular solution. Notable contributions also include co-founding The OpenBTS Project and roles at Kestrel Signal Processing and Rosum Corporation, where Harvind specialized in advanced signal processing and positioning systems. Harvind holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and has a strong foundational education from the Georgia Institute of Technology and The University of Kansas.
