Christopher Centamore has extensive experience in the field of optical engineering, with a focus on the development and implementation of advanced technologies. Christopher has held various positions in multiple companies over the years.
Beginning in 1996, Centamore started their career as a Co-op at Computer Sciences Corp. Christopher then worked at Hitachi Telecom as a Systems Verification Engineer, where they validated the performance of telecom devices.
In 2000, Centamore joined Cirrex Corp. as an Optical Engineer, followed by a role at Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Research Assistant, where they focused on differential absorption LIDAR technologies.
From 2004 to 2008, Centamore worked at Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. as an Optical Engineer, specializing in optical product development and new business development. Christopher also co-founded Ball's Laser Remote Sensing Group, where they focused on 3D Ladar technology.
Centamore later joined Advanced Optical Systems in 2008, initially as a Senior Optical Engineer and later as the Director of Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for leading all business development, sales, and marketing activities.
In 2018, Centamore moved on to IDEMIA National Security Solutions, where they served as a Program Director until 2021.
Currently, Centamore is the SVP of Business Development at Rank One Computing. In this role, they help deliver AI/ML-based video analytics and biometrics for identity confirmation and cognitive workload reduction in high-stress situations.
Throughout their career, Centamore has demonstrated a strong expertise in optical engineering, business development, and program management.
Christopher Centamore obtained a Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville between 1994 and 1999. Christopher then pursued a Master's degree in ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2004.
