Han Welten has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Han began their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Global Technics in 2003, where they worked until 2007. In 2006, they joined Vekoma Rides Manufacturing as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2007, they started working at Thomas Regout Int BV, initially as an R&D Engineer responsible for product and process development. Han was later promoted to R&D Manager, overseeing the department's operations. Han spent a significant portion of their career at Thomas Regout Int BV, leaving in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Vlukon BV, a wheel manufacturer. Currently, they work as a Research and Development Engineer at Ranpak, a position they started in 2020. Overall, Han has extensive experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and research and development.

Han Welten attended the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Design for Six Sigma and achieved a Black Belt in this field of study. Prior to that, they studied at Delft University of Technology from 1996 to 2002, completing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aerospace Engineering.
