Luc Smeets

Luc Smeets is an experienced professional with a strong background in product management, marketing, and business development across various industries. Currently serving as VP of Automation R&D and Product Management at Ranpak since September 2022, Luc previously held the position of Director of Marketing EMEA / APAC at the same company. Prior experience includes global product and marketing leadership roles at Vesuvius, where Luc focused on refractories and mechanical systems for steel plants, and at ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation, leading marketing and business development initiatives for stone wool insulation. Luc has a solid educational foundation with degrees from prestigious institutions, including IMD and INSEAD, in leadership and strategic innovation, as well as dual bachelor's degrees in Business Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
